Astrophytum myriostigma

Charles LEMAIRE described the genus Astrophytum myriostigma at the year 1839.
Most of the habitats are located at the Mexican federal state San Luis Potosi. At the north border some populations are growing at the federal state Tamaulipas.
The body of this genus is marked with wool flecks, no spines at the areoles.
Plants are looking like a “Bishopcap”.
